This weekend was a great weekend to be catching some fish. We reeled in some whoppers, but 12 year old Madisen caught a 48” striper for the win.

8/22/2018 Fishing report

You may be wondering why there have been so few fishing reports this year- INCONSISTENCY!!! Some days nothing’s biting in the morning and we’re filling the boat in the afternoon.

Finally, porgies are jumping into the boat- yesterday Dave and Capt Mike filleted 320 of them. One of our old seabass spots is producing good and we’ve caught some nice ones over the past few weeks. Want in on the action? Check out our calendar page and book your trip today!

Mid July fishing

After an unusually slow start to this year’s fishing season, we are now catching large and jumbo size porgies mixed in with some decent size Black Sea bass during our day trips. June 28th fishing report

This month has been full of ups and downs. One day we’d fill the boat with beautiful, keeper porgies, seabass & stripers. The next day, there were no keepers in sight. FINALLY, the seabass have been showing up on a regular basis. Come join us for this weekend’s open boat trips- Friday and Saturday mornings at 7 and Friday night at 4 p.m.

Fishing report for weekended 6/10/2018

Fluke and porgy action has been very good and getting better. Sea-bassing has been phenomenal with lots of big knot-headed beauties filling coolers to the limit. Striper fishing has been good for keeper-size fish and night trips (open boat, leaving at 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays) are now on the docket. These night trips will be for large stripers and will finish up with squidding. Call to get the low-down.

Weekend ending 6/3/2018

Our season got off to a great start with good porgy fishing and some nice large fluke. I always like to mix the trips up a bit which is what we’re going to start doing with our evening runs. Last season early on we did very well on the stripers, Limiting out usually before sunset so what I’d like to start doing this year is going squid fishing after we get our bass. So starting next weekend Friday and Saturday night leaving at 4 PM will be setting up for both stripers and squid. So come join us for a nice inky seafood medley!

Memorial Day Weekend

What a great start to the 2018 season. We had 3 great open boat trips, with beautiful weather. On each trip we headed over to New York waters to get some jumbo porgies and fluke. There was a steady pick each day. On a few days, the fish were raising the white flag even before we had the chance to anchor up! Then there was Sunday- what an interesting day that was! We had a great group come out and brave the weather. We took the 2 hour trip out to New York- but it was bumpy to say the least. I’d like to say we filled the boat with fish- but we got to New York just in time to turn back around. The wind was strong and the seas were rough. For the safety and the happiness of the group, we turned back. We’ll try again another day.
